All She Wrote

Hiya Folks! Looks like August is quickly rushing away. It's always so bittersweet. Warm turns to cool, green to orange, and me - another year older. But to be honest, by the end of summer I can't wait to be school supply shopping, celebrating a birthday, and wrapping myself in scarves, thigh high socks, & well tailored fall coats.

If you follow me on Twitter you'll have seen me mention my Moleskine. Handy little bugger that thing is. And let me tell you, it has come into my possession with impeccable timing. Reason being, immediately following the celebration of my birthday (& international legality!) on August 29th, I will be knee deep in a Full Time course load, 2 part time jobs, a couple personal endeavours & preparation for the LSAT. My secret to time management is obviously the aforementioned Moleskine - but more than that, routine. Schedule, schedule, schedule. (For now, anyway).

"Buuuuut Kj, what about spontaneity?"
SCHEDULE IT IN! I'm kidding... sorta.

Snuck out to Kelowna last week for something of an impromptu long weekend. Spent Sunday night at the Chris Isaak concert hosted by Mission Hill Winery with Tommy's family & friends. The initial skeptic in me quickly dissipated as I, (3 or 4 glasses of wine in, mind you), kicked my heels off & shook what my mama gave me. And what she gave me was good apparently, because before I knew it I was dancing alongside Chris (we're obviously on a first name basis), onstage. I can feel the jealousy oozing out of all my 40-year-old + readers right now. Fortunately for me, I have no evidence of said affair via jpeg for you this time around so you'll have to take my word.

It was either the Nikon or the LSAT prep kit in my carry-on... Priorities! ... Sad, boring, (cross your fingers!) prosperous priorities.

But that's about it for me kids. If you're looking for me I'll be somewhere between TFDL & BakeChef, either nomming down on a sausage roll, buried in some books, or maybe even...

penciling you in !?
